The College of Human Resource Management (CHRM), was established in 1997. It is the training body of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM), the Professional Body for HR Practitioners in Kenya. CHRM is focused on building up the human assets required for the administration of individuals at the work environment in both the general population and private divisions of the economy. Courses offered by the institution target the preparation and furnishing students with required learning, abilities and frames of mind to have the option to convey HR administrations at different various levels of the association.

The College of Human Resource Management has received accreditation by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA/PRIVATE/TVC/0041/2015), and as a Training Provider by National Industrial and Training Authority (NITA/TRN/996) to offer executive courses and short training courses.

The school's mission statement is “To be a Global Centre of Excellence in Leadership Development, Research, Innovation and Training”. It aims to achieve this by:
- Teaching and learning that is appropriate and relevant;
- Utilization of qualified and competent faculty both from the academia and industry;
- Provision of innovative curriculum and courses that meet dynamic business environment

CHRM has a number of facilities provided to students such as hostels, internship placements, a students' lounge, computer lab and high speed WiFi, but its flagship facility is its library. The school's award winning library is a rich and assortment of books and scholastic assets to improve research and learning.

The school's alumni have been employed in a variety of industries performing a wide scope of vital and operational exercises in the human resource work. Similarly, a number of the alumni hold senior positions in business. A portion of the alumni are offering HR consultancy to autonomous experts to fulfill the rising need for such administrations.
